Brand-new wedding venue in Middleboro, Massachusetts, The Barn on Benson’s Pond is set on an age-old (but still working) cranberry bog. Its scenic grounds, complete with a 1940s cranberry screen house/barn, provided the perfect setting for this New England-themed elopement photoshoot.
Although fall is cranberry harvest season, the vendor team also wanted to bring out hints of New England’s splendor in winter and early spring. To enhance the natural beauty of the property, the team focused on a neutral color palette with pops of dusty blue, which happened to be the exact color of the barn door. The colors beautifully contrasted the deep maroon of the cranberry bogs. A bonus: they were even able to set a table in the bog itself!
For a vintage look, antique furniture and other vintage details (note that delicious-looking cranberry hot toddy!) were incorporated into the shoot. The neutral color palette highlighted the venue’s blue-grey concrete wall and the weathered cedar shingles of the future bridal suite.
