September 1, 2012 — Ashley and Matt met the night before Thanksgiving four years ago. Both of them were spending time with friends at a local restaurant in their hometown of Dedham, MA, and ended up talking to each other. That night, Matt seized the opportunity to ask Ashley for a date and the two have been together ever since.
“The theme and vibe I wanted for my wedding day was a classy and simple look as well as a romantic feel,” says Ashley. After shopping around, the couple chose The Fairmont Copley Plaza in Boston for both their wedding ceremony and reception. Ashley remembers, “I just liked everything about it. Walking in and seeing the cathedral ceilings…it wasn’t like all the other hotels. It had that old, historic Boston feeling to it. And the location was great.”
To photograph the event, they hired Daniel Doke, who Ashley credits as really understanding his craft. “He just knows where to go to make the photos amazing,” she says, citing the photos taken of the couple on the sidewalk glowing in the beaming sunlight as an example of his handiwork. She raves, “His photos are just phenomenal.”
Having a rockin’ band topped the couple’s list of must-haves. After weeding through CDs from multiple bands, Ashley and Matt went to see Night Rhythm perform in person. “We instantly knew that they were the right band for us,” says Ashley. Bringing bounds of energy, the band didn’t disappoint on the big night.
“It was amazing,” says Ashley, reflecting back on her and Matt’s wedding. “I was so happy and grateful of how everything turned out to be just so wonderful.”
