Every bride wants to look her best on her wedding day. If you’re getting married soon or like to daydream about your future nuptials, it’s important to narrow down your beauty style. Are you a traditional bride who envisions a romantic ballroom wedding or a free spirit planning a bohemian bash on the beach? Rachael Lynsey Rubin, the founder/owner, lead stylist and photographer at Beauty PaRLR and RLR Studio, a full-service beauty sanctuary and photo studio based in Framingham, Massachusetts, shares her top hair and makeup combinations to inspire your big day beauty look.

Romantic Bella

This soft and elegant bridal look is perfect for the classic bride, with a swooping updo paired with a delicate tulle gown and gorgeous décolletage. A neutral eye and classic red lip are the perfect touches to complete this beauty style.

Pro Tip: Try a variety of red lipsticks before deciding on one that pairs best with your complexion. Rubin’s favorite: “Diva” Matte Lipstick by MAC.

Boho Chic

“This is a look I’ve done many times and each time I love it more and more,” says Rubin of this signature bohemian style, which features a loose crown braid with soft beach waves. For makeup, think bronze tones for a sun-kissed look.

Pro Tip: Soft, tousled waves are key for this hairstyle. Be sure to tell your stylist that you want a tousled wave, not a curl, for direction before styling.

The Modern Kim Kardashian

“This is one of my favorite looks,” says Rubin. “It’s minimal and subtle but still very sexy and posh.” Drawing inspiration from celebrity Kim Kardashian’s signature look, this hairstyle features a simple and soft wave of curls with subtle volume at the crown. The style is complemented by soft makeup, featuring a nude lip and a matte smoky eye. Coupled with a chic and structured dress, this look makes a modern statement.

Pro Tip: Include a mix of matte and glowing makeup for a look that’s both fresh and polished. Be specific about where your face is highlighted. This look should be 80-percent matte and 20-percent glow.

Rustic Vintage

“With this look, we really want to take you back in time,” says Rubin. To perfect it, a crown of baby’s breath—created by her team—is set atop a braided hairstyle to create a soft and feminine feel. Neutral colors are used for eye makeup, while a heavy lash adds major glam. A peach lip color and and dewy makeup accent the eyes.

Pro Tip: Braids are a definite “must” for a vintage and rustic look!
