Stacy and Andrew have known each other since they were in high school, but it took a little growing up for them to realize that the person they were looking for had been there all along. The day he walked into her family-owned retail store, they both knew that the other person would be the one standing across the aisle from them on their wedding day.
Elegance was the watchword as Stacy and Andrew chose Rosecliff mansion in Newport, RI as the stage for their romantic, blacktie affair. The bride wore a textured dress by designer Romona Keveza and continued that lush monochromatic theme over to the rest of the wedding with an abundance of ivory flowers adorning the chuppah, and the interior of the mansion where they held the reception. “The rooms were so gorgeous, that we left everything simple, so that was pretty easy. I didn’t want to take away from the room and the venue itself,” says Stacy.
Wendy Joblon of Wendy Joblon Events helped the Boston-based couple execute their visions of their ideal wedding along with the bride’s father. “I spent quite a bit of time with the bride and her parents. We went to the linen company, florist, caterer’s tasting [and stationers] and met several times and had many conversations about logistics and all the special details,” says Wendy, who sites the linens, flowers and food presentations as some of her favorite details of the event.
The food that was provided by Russell Morin Fine Catering was one of the major aspects of the wedding that the couple was dedicated to getting just right. Five tastings later, they had exactly what they wanted. “We wanted everything to be loud and shocking. We researched what was big and on trend,” says Stacy. “We had a caviar ice bar and huge shrimp and lobster.” She says she chose Russell Morin based on the man himself. “Russ was great. just fell in love with Russ. He was involved and really helpful. He was willing to do anything and everything.”
It all came together seamlessly for the now husband and wife who says “I would get married again ten times over.”
