So Long, Friends! And, Introducing Jen Sperry

Today is my last day working as the editor of the Southern New England Weddings blog, and I just can’t believe how quickly a year and a half at Lighthouse Media Solutions has gone by.

They say you should end on a high note, and as Danielle and I sent the latest issue of Southern New England Weddings: Destination Edition off to press last week, I felt that adage ringing true. After countless hours pinning, planning and poring over the details of two jaw-dropping fashion shoots, sifting through the most gorgeous collection of real wedding submissions imaginable, and scouring New England for the best new wedding hotspots to report on, it all paid off. I think this is our best issue yet. Be sure to pick up a copy when it hits newsstands later this month!

I’m sad to say goodbye and excited for what the future holds – both for me, as I embark on a year long project documenting sustainable farms run by women, and for the blog, which can only continue to grow as a go-to resource and welcoming community for engaged couples. (PS- that’s me picking blackberries last week in my favorite place on earth, Beavertail State Park in Jamestown, RI!)

Stepping in as the new editor of online content is Jennifer Sperry, who is also the editor of Southern New England Living.

In addition to her work at Lighthouse, Jen writes for a variety of magazines, including New-Old House, Boston Home & Garden, Rhode Island Monthly, and Southern New England Home. She recently settled into a new fixer-upper home with her husband and baby daughter and – when she’s not painting, which is almost never – she is known for prioritizing wine tastings, beach days, and takeout Indian food.

Fondly,

Caroline
