Davina & Robert

Tucked away in the heart of Federal Hill, often regarded as Providence’s Little Italy, is a wonderful spot called Venda Ravioli.
“I love going to Venda, especially in the summer,” says Davina Ohanesian, whose mother kept telling her about a handsome valet attendant who parked her car. “You’re so cute you should take out my daughter,” Davina quotes her mother as saying to her now-husband, Robert Zotti. After Robert messaged Davina on Facebook and she vetted him, she figured she “had nothing to lose” and accepted his invitation to dine at Siena Restaurant. “He didn’t play any games and we had a lot of fun,” says Davina of the couple’s first date.
Two years later, Robert had selected a stunning engagement ring for Davina. “He was so excited to give me the ring that he sat on my bed and then immediately got down on one knee,” she remembers.
Their wedding weekend, slated for a spring day at the iconic Rosecliff Mansion in Newport, had all the elements of a storybook celebration until an ocean storm was forecasted to coincide with the big event. “I was freaking out!” says Davina.
Luckily, the day turned out to be beautiful, without a cloud in the sky.
“The ceremony performed by Pastor Caparrelli was so special,” says Davina, who fondly recalls the sounds of the waves crashing in the background. “To this day, I remember the love and energy of our wedding. I felt the day was like a magical fairy tale.”
