Allison and Kory were married on a warm spring day at the Gardens at Elm Bank in Wellesley, Massachusetts. Although the day was cloudy, the rain held off so that their outdoor ceremony in the grand Italianate Garden went flawlessly. Guests gathered in front of the beautiful fountain and beds of colorful spring flowers and listened as the couple said their vows, then moved to the lawn for cocktail hour and lawn games. The cloudy, misty day also made for a magical atmosphere as the bride and groom wandered the gardens for their couples portraits.

Allison’s glamorous Pronovias ballgown and BHLDN headpiece complimented the venue and lush decor details. Kory and his groomsmen were dapper in tuxedos and Allison’s bridesmaids all wore chic gray gowns.

The wedding was a labor of DIY love. The bride made all the signs, centerpieces, and reception decor and a friend designed their wedding stationery. Even the delicate, peony-dense bouquets were made by a friend of the bride! Fun pops of pink and purple created a romantic atmosphere at the reception. Allison and Kory incorporated their wedding logo, a panda and koala bear, into much of the décor, which added a quirky and personal touch.

The couple included several Chinese door games into the day, which got their guests and wedding party laughing and having a good time. Other fun details: a Stoked food truck providing delicious late-night pizza, and several photo booths at the reception–including one inside a VW van!
