Pantone’s Top Colors For Spring 2015

While Radiant Orchard still reigns supreme for a few more months as Pantone’s 2014 Color of the Year, the color experts are already looking ahead to Spring 2015, and recently showcased some of their upcoming color trends at New York Fashion Week.  The color palette for the coming Spring will be a mix of cool blues, greens and neutrals and will invoke a calming and relaxed vibe.

Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director, Pantone Color Institute had this to say about the colors:

Many feel compelled to be connected around the clock because we are afraid we’ll miss something important. There is a growing movement to step out and create ‘quiet zones’ to disconnect from technology and unwind, giving ourselves time to stop and be still. Color choices follow the same minimalistic, ‘en plein air’ theme, taking a cue from nature rather than being reinvented or mechanically manipulated. Soft, cool hues blend with subtle warm tones to create a soothing escape from the everyday hustle and bustle.

The color roster features several blue/green shades including Aquamarine, Scuba Blue, Classic Blue and Lucite Green, all of which would be perfect color choices for a coastal wedding. There’s also Toasted Almond and Glacier Grey for neutral lovers, and a few bolder choices such as Strawberry Ice and Tangerine.
