Pantone Names 2 Colors of the Year for 2016

For the first time ever, Pantone has named two colors of the year for 2016. Rose Quartz, a light pink hue and Serenity, a cool baby blue were chosen to represent a sense of balance and peace, because we live in a world that needs to feel secure and relaxed more than ever, according to Pantone. They’ve also released a video to further showcase the harmonious pairing of the complementary shades, which some are viewing as the ultimate blending of genders given the traditional meanings behind pink and blue.

Both colors will make for a beautiful palette for a spring or summer wedding and we’re calling it now, if you’re asked to be a bridesmaid this year, the chances of your dress being one of these shades is probably pretty high!

What do you think of the chosen shades? Let us know in the comments!
