Editor's Picks: April | Southern New England Weddings |Rippled Ceramic Pot from Terrain

This past week I’ve had a little taste of warm weather, barbeques and white wine spritzers, and am just shy of exchanging sweaters and socks for crop tops and flip flops. So naturally this month I have my eye on some sweet deck decor; creating a tiny oasis outdoors, perfect for early morning coffee and late-night entertaining.

While planning my own wedding, I was obsessed with creative seating arrangements and staging a comfortable sit-down for guests. Some items we used, like our four wooden Adirondack chairs (which my husband lovingly restored and stained), now have a permanent home on our back deck. Now, for the accessories.

{1} CERAMICS. Speaking of potting…these white rippled ceramic pots from Terrain are just imperfect enough to look elegant and earthy lined along the deck banister or as a centerpiece on our slate slab table.

{2} CROSS STITCH. A simple design, these cross stitch cocktail napkins, also from Terrain, would be pretty under all of those stemmed wine glasses.

{3} STRIPES. I fell in love with the light beachy blue hue of this Rugby Stripe Indoor/Outdoor Rug by Dash & Albert and bought it for underneath the deck chairs. It sparked some inspiration for the rest of the space and is so comfy underfoot.

{4} FINISHING TOUCH. I’m borderline obsessed with throw pillows and think an Ikat print or striped pattern like this one from Pickfair would be just the thing to add to the Adirondacks. Something nautical, but versatile.

{5} SUCCULENTS. Who doesn’t love the colorful and crazy arrangements of cool succulents? Etsy is a treasure trove for finding just the perfect pairings and I plan on potting lots of these lovelies in the near future.

{6} “TRAY” CHIC. I love a reclaimed wood and rope combo. I picked up something similar at Target for just $40.

{7} SERVINGWARE. These bowls from Anthropologie are so petite and playful. Is it bad that I want them all?!
