There’s a new website on the beauty scene, and it caters solely to women with brown skin tones and textured hair (finally!). Doobop, which only launched about six months ago, has already reached gold status as a favorite of Oprah, and has been featured in O Magazine, as well as Glamour, Ebony, The Huffington Post and many more.
Doobop is the brainchild of Jodie Patterson, a fashion PR maven and creator of her own line of beauty products, and Benjamin Bernet, a former senior marketing exec for L’Oreal, and was founded with a mission to “create a chic online shopping destination that mirrored the ethnic diversity spotted daily on the streets of New York City.”
Doobop offers an array of beauty products that go way beyond the ethnic aisle at your local drug store. They also offer free shipping, free samples and an online beauty consultation where customers can receive personalized recommendations on products to meet their specific needs.
With six beauty experts selecting, testing and carefully curating their ever expanding product line, as well as a team of 100 + women influencers, including moms, executives and artists from all over the world now residing in NYC, Doobop has clearly filled a much needed void in the beauty world, and that’s pretty awesome in our opinion!
