Destination Weddings Ideas in Southern New England

Usually when we hear destination wedding, we think of a far-off island that requires a passport and a pricey plane ticket. Us New Englander’s know that is just not necessary though, and the rest of the country is quickly catching on to our little secret – that not only do you not need to leave the country to have a destination wedding, you don’t even have to leave good old New England. Whether you reside in the area or you just love it like a local, the islands, mountains and endless stretches of glorious coastlines make it the perfect choice for your destination wedding – no passport required!

Last July, Style Me Pretty published an article on Coastal Summer Wedding Destinations in the USA and what do you know – four New England spots made the list, including Nantucket, MA; Harwich Port, MA; Bar Harbor, ME and Block Island, RI – which just happens to be the destination of my wedding this July. I love all their choices and I’d also add other Rhody gems Newport, Bristol and Tiverton to the list.
