After meeting the new old-fashioned way on Match.com and getting engaged, Molly and Kyle knew they wanted their wedding day to be special, yet laid-back. The couple chose to tie the knot at Windsor Mountain International Summer Camp in Windsor, New Hampshire. The location’s outdoor amphitheater situated right on a private lake proved to be the ideal location for the soon-to-be husband and wife to create an atmosphere that was both rustic and personal. “I wanted to elope, but Kyle didn’t,” remembers Molly. “But we both wanted the party to be light and fun. We’re very outdoorsy and go hiking all the time so the summer camp was a great compromise.”

Outdoorsy is truly the perfect word to describe Molly and Kyle. Rewind to before the wedding on the afternoon Kyle proposed: he left it to nature to make the moment unforgettable. While the two were enjoying a getaway on the San Juan Islands in Seattle, Washington, they planned an excursion to sea kayak and swim with orca whales. As if that plan wasn’t exciting enough, Kyle got down on one knee at the edge of a scenic cliff to pop the question. Molly jokes, “He was being so weird so I wasn’t sure what was going on. While he was asking me, he had planned ahead and passed a camera to one of the people in our group so we have a picture of that special moment.”

Thinking back to their wedding, it was during another photo op on their big day that the couple shared one of their most cherished memories. After the ceremony, Molly and Kyle stole some private time away from their guests out on the picturesque lake. As they floated towards wedded bliss in a red canoe, their photographer was able to capture the moment. “We could hear the music and some of our songs playing. That was my favorite part of the whole day,” says Molly.

Keeping with the untraditional theme, the couple decided to forgo a wedding cake for donuts. Kane’s Donuts of Saugus, Massachusetts. served up 12 different flavors of the tasty confection, which was accompanied by cider from Brookside Farm of West Townsend, Massachusetts, Molly loved that she and Kyle weren’t afraid to color outside the lines when it came to planning their wedding day. “Be true to yourself and don’t feel like you have to do what others do,” she urges. “If we had done that, we wouldn’t have enjoyed it nearly as much.”
