Bridal party guru and recent guest blogger Caitlin Kenney has been conducting a survey among bridesmaids, and today, she posted her first set of findings on her blog, Ultimate Bridesmaid.  We're surprised to learn that while a tea party-style bridal shower reigns the most popular of party themes, only 7% of bridesmaids listed the shower as their favorite responsibility throughout the wedding, which begs the important question: how could the tradition be reinvented?   Read more...

Morgan Gray was recently asked to be her sister's maid of honor.  The wedding isn't until next fall, but she and the other bridesmaids are already hard at work making the bride's dream day come true, and having a pretty good time, too!  She shared a little bit about her experience, and the pearls she's gleaned, so far: A very special moment has recently occurred in my life: my sister asked me to be her maid of honor, and I said yes! We are right in the midst of the planning process and have chosen a barn venue, established her registry, and are finalizing catering plans. Some of our closest mutual friends have also been asked to be her bridesmaids, and they have been so eager to help me with my maid of honor duties.  I can happily say that coordinating and collaborating with the girls has been one of the most rewarding aspects of the experience so far.
