As many of us followed the path of the solar eclipse on Monday, August 21, Selene Dinh and Matt Parker were celebrating their path together as a newly married couple. That’s right— the two were married beneath a partial eclipse, surrounded by nature’s beauty at the Alpine Grove Banquet Center in Hollis, New Hampshire.By Lannan O’Brien | Wedding photography by Katelyn Mallett Photography
Selene and Matt‘s intimate, bohemian ceremony took place in the forest, with a wooden bridge as the “aisle” leading to a beautiful gazebo. A macrame hanging with a floral garland provided a backdrop as the couple exchanged vows. When the solar eclipse began, the entire group donned eclipse glasses they were provided before the ceremony–and of course, wedding photographer Katelyn Mallett caught the whole thing on camera (are these not the most fun photos?!).
Afterward came a reception in the rustic Skylight Room, where wildflower arrangements and vintage candle holders adorned each table. “It was amazing to see a lot of our guests loosening up and enjoying themselves on a Monday night,” Selene says, who remembers her dad busting out moves on the dance floor.
The perfect ending to a spectacular day? A sparkler sendoff, of course. As the newlyweds made their way to their limo, guests held their sparklers and waved goodbye. “We were blown away by all the love and support of our friends and family,” says Selene.
