Whether you’re just engaged or your wedding date is drawing near, you’re probably in need of a little pampering, and The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Boston is the perfect indulgence. This urban spa – the only Forbes Five star-awarded spa in Mass. – has just announced two new treatments for fall:
Pumpkin Boost Reverse Facial: There is no better way to welcome fall than with this results-driven treatment, which dramatically improves skin tone, texture, and clarity while reducing the appearance of fine lines, discoloration, and sun damage. It begins with a gentle pumpkin warming mask to purify, nourish, and smooth skin. The mask contains MDT5™, Somme Institute’s® patented technology of highly engineered vitamins A, C, E, B3, and B5, which prepares the skin to better receive and absorb the regimen. In addition to MDT5™, the mask also contains pumpkin enzymes and minerals that assist with cellular regeneration; Zeolite, a natural mineral that warms the skin and opens pores; and Kaolin, which absorbs excess oil, dirt, and impurities. An indulgent hand massage completes this one hour and 20 minute treatment. Appropriate for all skin types. Available for $200 on weekdays and $220 on weekends.
Inner Strength: In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Boston, has reintroduced the Inner Strength treatment, inspired by Aromatherapy Associates’ founder Geraldine Howard’s own battle with cancer. Until the end of the year, 10% of each purchased treatment will go towards cancer research. This full-body treatment lasts one hour and 50 minutes and incorporates a variety of massage techniques designed to ease physical tension and emotional anxiety. The application of a heated compress warms and nurtures the core, quiets the mind, and brings focus inward for a more meditative and relaxed state. Aromatherapy Associates’ Inner Strength oil (available for purchase at The Spa Boutique) is used throughout the treatment to bolster feelings of resilience and fortitude in the face of life’s many stresses. With a powerful blend of ingredients that includes calming clary sage and frankincense, fortifying cardamom and rosemary, healing rose and vetivert, and geranium, the oil helps balance emotions and encourages inspiration. The treatment concludes with attention to the feet’s reflex points, making guests feel more grounded and awakening the senses. Available for $270 on weekdays and $295 on weekends.
