Marie and Nick’s May wedding at the Willowdale Estate in Topsfield, Massachusetts was simple and elegant. With a floral palette of peachy hues standing cheerfully against otherwise neutral colors, the day perfectly captured the joy and excitement of the start of summer – and indeed the start of a new life together – while maintaining a classic look. With wedding design and coordination in the capable hands of Simple Details Events, the most important details of the day were paid great attention, without cluttering the wedding (and everyone’s schedules) with a lot of unnecessary extras.
Some of the details that the SD Events team remembers most fondly were the Willowdale bookshelves decorated with flowers and photos of the couple and family, escort cards tied to pretty, single-stem vases, and a spread of cannolis that guests took away in customized to-go boxes. Perhaps the biggest (literally!) showstoppers of the evening were the floral-topped cake from Konditor Meister and the airy tent, which was draped in a sheer ivory fabric, lit by uniquely shaped paper lanterns, and grounded by dark wood chiavari chairs and rectangular farm tables. A big thank you to SD events for sending this beauty our way, and to photographer Eric Laurits for allowing us to share his wonderful work.
