A Very Special Anniversary for Same Sex Couples in MA

Tomorrow, on May 17, 2014, there will be a whole lot of couples celebrating an important anniversary in the state of Massachusetts. 10 years ago, MA became the first state to issue marriage licenses for same-sex couples.

Throughout the week, same-sex couples across the commonwealth and beyond, will surely be commemorating the occasion. Whether they were among the first couples who lined up at Cambridge City Hall at 12:01am on May, 17, 2004, or one of the many who’s married since, the historic date will no doubt be cause for celebration among the GLBT community. Let’s hope in 10 years, we can celebrate marriage equality for ALL states in our country.
