A Scenic Slice of Waterfront Paradise, Perfect for a Small Wedding

One of the best kept secrets in the Newport, RI area may be the Norman Bird Sanctuary, tucked away off Third Beach Road in Middletown. While best known for its more than 300 acres of wildlife preserve, bird-watching and hiking trails, the NBS is also an amazing option for an intimate wedding, complete with a stunning backdrop of serene landscapes and ocean views. New this year, wedding parties can opt to stay on-premises in the newly renovated Paradise Farmhouse, which can accommodate up to 16 guests.

Couples can not only get married on the property, but also enjoy the option of hosting an entire weekend of festivities on the grounds, from the rehearsal dinner the night before, to a post-wedding brunch and nature walk the following day. Weddings of 40 guests or less are the perfect size for the NBS, however larger weddings of up  to 125 people can also be coordinated with some of the itinerary taking place at neighboring venues if needed. The property is ideal for a peaceful and calm wedding, especially for nature-lovers or those looking for environmentally friendly options. For more information, call 401-846-2577.
