As soon as Dan Abboud proposed to Mercedes Marcano, she began looking for the perfect venue for their wedding in far-flung destinations like Puerto Rico, Boston, Maine and Texas, which all have personal meaning to the couple. But when Mercedes discovered The Estate at Moraine Farm in Beverly, MA, the search was over.“Moraine Farm was everything we were looking for – private, intimate, casual, yet elegant, full of character and situated overlooking Wenham Lake surrounded by nature,” says Mercedes, explaining that it was ideal for the outdoor, early autumn wedding they desired.
Guests were greeted with warm beverages and sweet melodies, which set a tone of sophisticated romantic elegance with a truly intimate feel.
“Mercedes and Dan wanted an ethereal atmosphere, one of neutral tones with pops of color,” says wedding planner Paula Marrero of Marrero Weddings and Events. “They wanted to embrace the natural beauty of the venue.”
The couple dazzled guests with a choreographed dance that set the tone for the evening and Dan’s nephews and brother surprised everyone with a breakdancing showcase. “The joy and excitement never ceased as love filled the air and every guest felt like they were part of our new family,” says Mercedes. “It was magical.”
